A George Sanders Alternate 100: #100 - 76

As we discuss on this week's Episode 39 of the show, The Hollywood Reporter's recent Hollywood's 100 Favorite Films list is absolutely dreadful. Gladiator is on it. Gladiator! Of course, we think we can do better than that, so we came up with our own lists and added them together. But it wouldn't be George Sanders if it didn't include a needlessly complicated twist. Not only could we not include any films on the Reporter's list, we couldn't include anything that made the Top 100 lists from Sight and Sound or They Shoot Pictures. Sorry Seven Samurai, Jeanne Dielman and Singin' in the Rain: you're ineligible.

    Sparrow too low. I'll say that the inclusion of Zulu threw me for a loop, I guess I don't really get it... Most of these are great though, while a few I don't like (Synecdoche mostly). I should watch the Hawks, the Kondo, the Von Sternberg and of course, the Hung.

    I really love Zulu. Talked about it on the White People in Africa show, I think.

    Sparrow being too low is my fault, I had it at #139. In retrospect, I could have had all the Johnnie To films on my list 30-50 spots higher.
